Solo booth
More information and preview: andrea@maffioliartgroup.com
Andrea Maffioli is pleased to present a solo booth by Xiuching Tsay for the ninth edition of Salón Acme, the premiere art fair in Mexico City to discover young talents.
Thai artist Xiuching Tsay (b.1993) had been extensively exhibited in Europe, Asia and USA, including some institutional exhibitions in the UK; this is her first time showing in Mexico.
The interest of the curator was to show the evolution of the practice of the artist from works that had been created at least a year ago, to the most recent ones, highlighting the shift towards a more geometric abstraction and a new inspiration from planetary orbits and sub-atomic movements.
Each artwork contains different layers of reading, some are very personal and autobiographical, some are really political, some others again are a metaphor of human condition.
